About the State language of the Republic of Tajikistan
This Law determines legal status of state language and regulates its application in the Republic of Tajikistan.
1. This Law regulates application of state language and other languages in activities of state bodies, self-government institutions of settlements and villages, and also legal entities, irrespective of forms of business, Dehkan (farmer) farms and individual entrepreneurs.
2. This Law does not regulate use of languages in the personal relations.

3. The Republic of Tajikistan provides application, protection and development of state language.
4. State bodies, self-government institutions of settlements and villages, and also legal entities, irrespective of forms of business shall create favorable conditions for studying of state language and enhancement of its knowledge by workers.
5. The state language is applied in all spheres of political, social, economic, scientific and cultural life of the Republic of Tajikistan.
6. In case of application of state language observance of provisions of rules of spelling of Tajik and signs of its punctuation is obligatory.
