About additional measures for application in the Azerbaijan Republic alternative and renewable energy resources
The geographical location and favorable climatic conditions of the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic are created by great opportunities for production of alternative and renewable energy which is considered net from the ecological point of view. This question which is more and more staticized in the world, in turn, acquires priority value and in Azerbaijan, in this direction provisional measures are already taken.
For the purpose of creation of new power sources for expansion of homeland energy security, ensuring studying of production and use of alternative and renewable energy due to wind power, the sun, the mountain rivers, biomass and the geothermal water sources necessary for environment protection, I decide:
1. For the purpose of implementation of necessary measures for studying of opportunities of production and to use of wind power, the sun, biomass and geothermal power from the Reserve fund of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic provided in the government budget of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2009 to allocate to the Ministry of Industry and Energy funds in the amount of 1 (one) one million manats.
2. For implementation of the measures directed to studying of resources of wind energy, and also energy potential of the mountain rivers and broad application of small power plants from the Reserve fund of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic provided in the government budget for 2009 to allocate to Azerenerzhi Open joint stock company funds in the amount of 1 (one) one million manats.
3. Charge to the Ministry of Finance of the Azerbaijan Republic to provide in accordance with the established procedure financing of the means provided in Items 1 and 2 of this Order.
4. To the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic to resolve the issues following from this Order.
