About military ranks of the military personnel of armed forces of the Republic of Armenia

This Law installs system of military ranks of the military personnel of officers, list of ensigns, sergeant and ordinary structures of Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

Article 1. For the military personnel of list of ensigns, sergeant and ordinary structures of Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia the following military ranks are established:

- private,

- corporal,

- lance sergeant,

- sergeant,

- staff sergeant,

- foreman,

- ensign,

- senior warrant officer.

Article 2. Military ranks of privates, sergeants, ensigns are appropriated without specifying of types of military forces and services.

Article 3. For the military personnel of officers of Armed Forces the following ranks are established:

1) General

younger officers:

- second lieutenant,

- lieutenant,

- senior lieutenant,

- captain;

senior officers:

- major,

- lieutenant colonel.

- colonel;

the highest officers:

- major general,

- lieutenant general,

- colonel general.

2) Aircraft

younger officers:

- second lieutenant,

- lieutenant,

- senior lieutenant,

- captain;

senior officers:

- major,

- lieutenant colonel,

- colonel;

the highest officers:

- major general of aircraft.

3) Health service

younger officers:

- second lieutenant of health service,

- lieutenant of health service,

- senior lieutenant of health service,

- captain of health service;

senior officers:

- major of health service,

- lieutenant colonel of health service,

- colonel of health service;

the highest officers:

- major general of health service.

4) Justices younger officers:

- second lieutenant of justice,

- lieutenant of justice,

- senior lieutenant of justice,

- captain of justice;
