This Law governs the relations arising in the conditions of warlike situation, determines the legal basis of the announcement and cancellation of warlike situation, legal regime, the tasks, actions performed during warlike situation, competence of state bodies and local government bodies of the Republic of Armenia, and also obligation of the companies, organizations, organizations (irrespective of patterns of ownership), citizens and officials of the Republic of Armenia.
Article 1. The warlike situation in all territory of the republic or on its part is announced by the President of the Republic of Armenia in case of armed attack to the Republic of Armenia, existence of its direct threat or the announcement by National Assembly of state of war.
Article 2. Within 24 hours after the announcement of warlike situation the special meeting of National Assembly is convened. The president of the Republic of Armenia addresses the people and National Assembly with the message, representing the bases of the announcement of warlike situation, territorial borders and effective period of warlike situation.
Along with the announcement of warlike situation or after that the President of the Republic can call to the general or partial colors.
Article 3. The warlike situation is repealed:
a) The president of the Republic of Armenia - after liquidation of the bases of the announcement of warlike situation;
b) National assembly of the Republic Armenia - based on the conclusion of the Constitutional Court.
