About the Protocol on cooperation between Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

Executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - Executive committee of the CIS) and the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (further - the Secretariat of the CSTO),

being guided by the purposes and tasks following from fundamental documents of the Commonwealth of Independent States (further - the CIS) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (further - the CSTO), and also the international treaties signed within the CIS and the CSTO

attaching importance to interaction of Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO, came to the following mutual understanding:

1. The executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO within the competence will perform cooperation in the directions which are of mutual interest.

2. For realization of the directions of cooperation the Executive committee of the CIS and the Secretariat of the CSTO will be:

a) hold joint consultations for the solution of the questions relating to the corresponding directions of interaction;
