About the veteran organizations of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States

Council of heads of states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, proceeding from importance of veteran movement and need of its further development, solved:

1. Take into consideration Information of Coordination council of "Commonwealth of Public Organizations of Veterans (Pensioners) of the Independent States" International union it (is applied).

2. Recommend to the veteran organizations of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and also Coordination council of "Commonwealth of Public Organizations of Veterans (Pensioners) of the Independent States" International union (further - Coordination council):

continue comprehensive protection of the social and economic rights and legitimate interests of veterans (pensioners);

stir up activities for patriotic and international education of youth, counteraction of falsification of history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

3. Recommend to Coordination council to develop and submit in accordance with the established procedure for consideration of Council of CIS Heads of Government actions plans, aimed at the solution of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of socially significant social tasks facing the veteran organizations.

4. To the governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the purpose of implementation of the above-stated actions plans to consider the possibility of providing financial support of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States to the veteran organizations and Coordination council in holding socially significant social actions by them.

5. This Decision becomes effective from signature date, and for the states which legislation requires accomplishment of the interstate procedures necessary for its entry into force, - from date of delivery to depositary of the adequate notice.
