Labor unions (labor unions) in Kyrgyz Respublikedobrovolny public associations of citizens on the basis of community of interests by the nature of activities as in production, and non-productive spheres, created for protection of the labor and social and economic rights and interests of the members.

Legal capacity of labor unions, their associations as legal entity arises from the moment of their state registration according to the procedure, stipulated by the legislation the Kyrgyz Republic.
Labor unions are independent in the activities and submit only to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. They are not accountable and are not under control to public authorities, employers, political parties and other public associations. Any intervention capable to limit the rights of labor unions is forbidden or to prevent implementation of their authorized activities if other is not provided by the law.
