General provisions
The plenum of the Supreme Court of Ukraine (further - the Plenum) is collegiate organ. All judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, chairmen of the supreme specialized courts and their first deputies, chairmen of Cassation and Appeal courts of Ukraine elected to position according to the law are part of the Plenum (further - structure of the Plenum).
Legal basis, the organization and procedure for activities of the Plenum are determined by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "About judicial system of Ukraine", other legal acts and these Regulations.
Treats powers of the Plenum:
1) election to position and release from position of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine;
2) determination of quantitative list of vice-chairmen of the Supreme Court of Ukraine;
3) position assignment and release from position of the first deputy, vice-chairmen of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the secretary Plenum;
4) formation of trial chambers and military judicial board of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, determination of their quantitative structure, appointment to positions and release from positions of chairmen of trial chambers, their deputies, chairmen of military judicial board;
5) determination as a part of presidium of the Supreme Court of Ukraine the number of judges who do not enter it on position, and their election;
6) provision of explanations to courts of law concerning application of the legislation, and also recognition invalid explanations of the supreme specialized courts;
