The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

in view of aspiration to development and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex in conditions, the economic reforms undertaken in the states based on the market relations,

considering historically developed commercial and scientific and technical ties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia,

realizing the leading role of agricultural industry in development of economy and ensuring food security,

recognizing need of experience exchange and cooperation at all levels for strengthening of cooperation between the states of the Parties,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties perform cooperation in the field of agricultural industry according to this agreement and national legal systems of the states of the Parties.

Article 2

The cooperation provided by this Agreement is performed in the following main directions:

1. crop production, including seed farming of crops;

2. livestock production, including breeding case;

3. veterinary science;

4. the food and overworking industries, including upgrade of the companies for production and conversion of food products;

5. development of new forms of managing, organization and formation of farms, associations and joint-stock companies;

6. consultations and assistance in implementation of reforms and privatization in the field of agro-industrial complex.

Other directions of cooperation can be performed according to the mutual arrangement of the Parties.

Article 3

The parties promote creating favorable conditions for establishment of direct connections between business entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia on mutual deliveries of agricultural products and material resources for agro-industrial complex.
