About the state statistics
Accepted by National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on April 4, 2000
This Law establishes procedure for the organization in the Republic of Armenia of the state statistics and governs the relations connected with collection, processing, accumulating, generalization, storage, and also the analysis, exchange of statistical data about social and economic processes in the republic, the population and spheres of its life activity and with provision (publication) of statistical information.
The legislation on the state statistics consists of this Law and other legal acts.
Operation of this Law extends to legal entities, the separate divisions of foreign legal entities operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, individual entrepreneurs, state bodies and local government bodies, the public institutions which are not state bodies (further - public institutions), and also to citizens (providing statistical).
The state statistics is the activities performed by body of the state statistics and its divisions according to three-year and annual programs of the state statistical works.
