About the Concept of the state language policy

Considering need of development of the consecutive and weighed approach to the solution of language questions, for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the constitutional guarantees of rather all-round development and functioning of Ukrainian as state in all spheres of public life in all territory of Ukraine, satisfaction of language needs of citizens of Ukraine, being guided by Article 10 and according to part two of article 102 of the Constitution of Ukraine, in support of initiative of National council on culture and spirituality I decide:

1. Approve the Concept of the state language policy it (is applied).

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to develop and approve the actions plan in three-months time, aimed at providing implementation of the Concept of the state language policy approved by this Decree, having provided, in particular, actions on:

to development and approval of the State program of development and functioning of Ukrainian and languages of ethnic minorities for 2011-2015, to ensuring its accomplishment;

to enhancement of the legislation on languages;

to development of network and improvement of educational and methodical providing preschool, general education, higher educational institutions for education and training at Ukrainian;

to expansion of application of Ukrainian in mass media, the sphere of culture, science and education.

3. Central and to local executive bodies to provide realization of provisions of the Concept of the state language policy, to provide funds for financing of the relevant activities.
