recognizing that saigas are inhabitants of open landscapes of arid zones of Eurasia whose number is steadily reduced in the last decade and it can appear on the verge of disappearance,

in view of that saigas are one of the most ancient types of land fauna and the migrating type which route of migration passes on the territories of the states of the Parties and have scientific value,

being guided by the Contract on eternal friendship between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan of October 31, 1998, the Convention on preserving the migrating types of wild animals of June 23, 1979 and the Memorandum of understanding concerning preserving, recovery and sustainable development of livestock of antelope of saiga of September 25, 2006,

recognizing that development and effective holding actions for protection, reproduction, sustainable development of livestock of saigas and to preserving places of their dwelling can be performed only in case of state cooperation of the Parties,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties independently in the territories of the states based on regulations of national legal systems of the states perform measures for protection, reproduction and steady developments of livestock of saigas.

The prohibition or restriction of production of saigas is allowed according to national legal systems of the states of the Parties and international treaties which participants they are.
