This Law regulates the description and procedure for use of the Coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia.
The coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia is one of the state symbols of the Republic of Armenia.
The coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia - in the center on board are represented Mount Ararat with Noah's Ark and the coats of arms of four kingdoms of historical Armenia: Bagratidov - in the upper part at the left, Arshakidov - in the upper part on the right, Artashesidov - in the lower part at the left, Rubenidov - in the lower part on the right.
The board is supported eagle (at the left) and lion (on the right), and under board the sword, branch, sheaf of ears, chain and tape are represented.
Primary color of the Coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia - golden, colors of kingdoms of historical Armenia: in the upper part at the left - red, in the upper part on the right - blue, in the lower part at the left - blue, in the lower part on the right - red and color of Mount Ararat represented in the center on board - orange.
The specified colors symbolize colors of the Flag of the Republic of Armenia.
The image of the Coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia (in multi-color option) is provided in the Appendix which is component of this Law.
It is forbidden:
1) change of the image of the Coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia, its structure, and also flowers established by this Law, except as specified uses of the one-color option provided by this Law;
2) use of the copied image of the Coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia established by part 2 of article 2 of this Law, or its elements in other coats of arms, distinctive marks or emblems.
Violation of requirements of part 5 of this Article, and also article 3 of this Law is equivalent to violation of the state symbol.
