This Law regulates the description and procedure for use of the Flag of the Republic of Armenia.
The flag of the Republic of Armenia is one of the state symbols of the Republic of Armenia.
Flag of the Republic of Armenia - three-colored with uniform horizontal strips: from top to down - red, blue, orange color. Red color symbolizes the Armenian Highlands, permanent fight of the Armenian people for survival, Christian belief, independence and freedom of Armenia. Blue color symbolizes the aspiration of the Armenian people to live under peaceful sky. Orange color symbolizes creative talent and diligence of the Armenian people.

The colors of the Republic of Armenia are always hoisted on buildings of the residence of the President of the Republic, National assembly, Government, the Constitutional court, courts, bodies of prosecutor's office, the Defender of human rights, the Central bank, bodies of system of public administration, autonomous state bodies, independent state bodies, other state bodies, governor apparatus and regional administrations (including the city halls of Yerevan), and also general education, higher educational institutions, the state scientific, sports and cultural organizations, other legal entities founded by the state and community at entrance or buildings.
