This Law regulates the legal basis of employment of the population of the Republic of Armenia, the principles of state policy in the field of employment of the population and its social protection in case of unemployment, the state guarantees of the free choice of work and employment and social protection of the unemployed.
1. Employment of the population is regulated by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the Labor code of the Republic of Armenia, the Civil code of the Republic of Armenia, this Law and other legal acts, international treaties of the Republic of Armenia.
2. If international treaties of the Republic of Armenia establish other regulations, than those which are provided by this Law then are applied regulations of agreements.
