1. General provisions

1.1. This Provision is developed according to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan, Regulations on the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and determines procedure for temporary storage of the goods which are subject to customs control (further - goods).

1.2. Action of this provision does not extend to the goods moved with physical persons through customs border in hand luggage and in case of themselves.

1.3. Places of temporary storage of goods are:

1. the special warehouses of temporary storage of goods established based on the license of customs (further - special warehouses);

2. warehouses and the protected territories belonging to consignees *;

3. the vehicles which transported goods between customs authorities (except the vehicles which at the same time transported the goods belonging to two or several consignees).

Places of temporary storage of goods are the customs control zone.

1.4. Goods placement to places of temporary storage is performed from the moment of their representation to customs control with the notification of customs authority on arrival of goods and are stored in safety in these parts before completion of customs clearance with submission of the documents established by the legislation for customs clearance.

1.5. Before issue of goods to the consignee upon completion of customs clearance, i.e. registration according to the chosen customs regime, responsibility for safety of the goods placed in places of temporary storage, and also for damage and loss of the customs providing (identification tags, seals, seals) set by customs authority to such places according to the current legislation of Turkmenistan carries person which accepted goods on temporary storage.
