aiming to strengthen the traditional friendly relations between two people,

recognizing that the cooperation in the field of civil defense, preventions and liquidations of emergency situations can help welfare and homeland security of the states of the Parties,

understanding danger which is born for the states of the Parties by emergency situations,

considering advantage for the states of the Parties of exchange of scientific and technical information in the field of civil defense, the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations,

in view of possibility of emergency situations which cannot be liquidated by forces and means of one of the Parties, and the need for the coordinated actions of both states caused by it for the purpose of the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations,

considering role of the United Nations, other international organizations in the field of the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations,

agreed as follows:

Article 1. The terms used in this agreement

The terms used in this agreement have the following values:

the requesting Party - the Party which makes to other Party inquiry about the direction of groups on assistance, equipment and materials of providing;

the providing Party - the Party which satisfies request of other Party about the direction of groups on assistance, equipment and materials of providing;

competent authority - the body appointed by each of the Parties for management of the works connected with implementation of this agreement, and their coordination;

group on assistance - the organized group of specialists of the providing Party (including military personnel) intended for assistance and provided with necessary equipment;
