wishing to strengthen the existing friendly relations and cooperation in military area,

being guided by the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on military and technical cooperation of December 16, 1999,

considering provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan about cooperation in military area of December 16, 1999,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purpose of assistance in formation of Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan the Kazakhstan Side will provide free military aid to the Tajik Side.

Article 2

For the purpose of implementation of this agreement of the Party appoint authorized bodies:

from the Kazakhstan Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

from the Tajik Side - the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In case of change of the name or functions of authorized bodies of the Party without delay notify each other through diplomatic channels.

Article 3

Free military aid is provided in the form of financial support.

The list and quantity of the transferred property are determined in the Appendix which is integral part of this agreement.
