being guided by the principles of respect of sovereignty, inviolability of borders and territorial integrity of the states,

for the purpose of assistance to development of good-neighbourhood between three states,

proceeding from need of determination of location and designation of point of joint of frontiers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. The point of joint of frontiers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia (further - point of joint of borders) is on crossing of the lines passing on the middle of the river Zilupe (Jacob's ladder) and on the middle of the river Neveritsa flowing into it, approximately in km 0,1 to the South from barrow under the name "Kurgan of Friendship".

2. Location of point of joint of borders is shown on the Map of the region of joint of frontiers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia of scale 1:10000, which is signed by the Parties and is integral part of this agreement.

3. In case of natural changes of beds of the rivers Zilupe (Jacob's ladder) and Neveritsa around joint of frontiers of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia location of point of joint of borders does not change until the Parties do not agree about other.

Article 2

1. The point of joint of borders at the area is designated by the special border marker established by the Parties which is referred to as Neveritsa (further - border marker).

2. The border marker consists of three tetrahedral ravnovysoky boundary posts, each of which is in the territory of the state of the relevant Party.
