About the state seismological examination
This Law determines legal and organizational basis of conducting the state seismological examination and is directed to prevention of negative impact of possible manifestations of dangerous natural geological and natural and technogenic processes on life and health of the population of Turkmenistan, the surrounding environment.
The state seismological examination - obligatory form of assessment of conformity of architectural, town-planning and construction activities in the territory of Turkmenistan to requirements of the state standard rates for seismic safety.
1. The legislation of Turkmenistan on the state seismological examination is based on the Constitution of Turkmenistan and consists of this Law and other regulatory legal acts in the field of seismology and aseismic construction.
2. If international treaties of Turkmenistan provide other rules than containing in this Law, then regulations of international treaties are applied.
Main objectives of the state seismological examination are:
providing safe conditions of life activity of the population living in seismically danger areas in the territory of Turkmenistan;
determination and accounting of degree of seismic danger in case of placement and development of productive forces of Turkmenistan, including the analysis of possible social, economic and ecological effects;
decrease in impact of possible manifestations of dangerous natural geological and natural and technogenic processes.
The state seismological examination is based on the following principles:
priority of providing safe conditions of life activity of the population of Turkmenistan;
objectivity and scientific justification of assessment;
