About fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy

This Law determines fundamentals of domestic policy of Ukraine in spheres of reorganization of statehood, development of local self-government and stimulation of development of regions, forming of institutes of civil society, homeland security and defense, in economic, social, veteran and humanitarian spheres, in the ecological sphere and the sphere of technogenic safety, and also fundamentals of foreign policy of Ukraine.

Article 1. Tasks of fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy

1. Fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy determine the principles and priorities of state policy in the respective spheres.

Article 2. Basic principles of domestic and foreign policy

1. Fundamentals of domestic and foreign policy are based on unconditional observance of the Constitution of Ukraine, providing in Ukraine of rights and freedoms of man and citizen and guaranteeing the rights and freedoms proclaimed the Constitution of Ukraine on the conventional principles and rules of international law, providing social orientation of economy of Ukraine and stable social and economic development of Ukraine, consolidation of democratic basis of public and state life, ensuring supremacy of law, economic and political independence of the state, protection of its national interests, approvals of Ukraine as full-fledged and authoritative member of the world commonwealth.

2. The domestic policy is based on such principles:

priority of protection of national interests;

supremacy of law, ensuring realization of rights and freedoms of man and citizen, respect for advantage of each person, ensuring special care of the child and realization of its rights;

equality of all persons of law of property before the law, protection of the competition in the field of economic activity;

implementation of the government on bases of its separation on legislative, executive and judicial;
