About use and protection of symbolics of Red crescent and Red cross

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Coverage of this Law

According to the Geneva conventions of August 12, 1949, Additional protocols to them of June 8, 1977 the coverage of this Law extends on:

emblems of red crescent and red cross;

names "Red Crescent" and "Red Cross";

the distinctive signals serving for identification of medical forming and sanitary vehicles.

Article 2. Emblems of red crescent and red cross

The emblem of red crescent represents the red crescent of any configuration and orientation represented on the white field which is not reaching edge of this field.

The emblem of red cross represents the red cross represented on the white field consisting of two equal rectangles which are crossed in the center at right angle and not reaching edge of this field.

Article 3. Names "Red Crescent" and "Red Cross"

The names "Red Crescent" and "Red Cross" are applied only in names of the organizations entering the International movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent when implementing of activities by them according to the principles of this movement.

Article 4. Distinctive signals

Distinctive signals are the light signals, radio signals and signals of electronic identification serving for identification of medical forming and sanitary vehicles. The procedure and rules of use of distinctive signals are determined by the legislation of Turkmenistan, the international acts.
