About cotton growing

This Law determines legal, organizational and economic basis of cotton growing in the Azerbaijan Republic, governs the relations connected with turnover of cotton raw materials and cotton products.

Section I. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

1.0. The concepts used in this Law have the following values:

1.0.1. cotton growing - the sphere of crop production occupied with cultivation of cotton and production of cotton raw materials;

1.0.2. raw cotton - the fibrous weight which is not separated seeds;

1.0.3. cotton products - the cotton fiber, lint, seed and waste of fiber received during primary conversion of cotton raw (further - cotton);

1.0.4. fiber - the fibrous weight separated cotton seed in case of primary conversion;

1.0.5. seed - the cotton seed separated fiber during primary conversion;

1.0.6. sowing seed - the cotton seed received in overtime of seed cotton and intended for landing;

1.0.7. primary conversion of cotton - drainage, cotton clarification by industrial method, production process of cotton products by department of fiber from seed

1.0.8. examination of quality of cotton and fiber - capture on the analysis of samples for measure definition of the actual quality of cotton and fiber and action for documentation of their quality;

1.0.9. turnover - sale, import and export of cotton and products from cotton.

Article 2. Legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on cotton growing

2.1. The legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic on cotton growing consists of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, the civil and agrarian legislation, international treaties which participant is the Azerbaijan Republic, this Law and other regulatory legal acts.
