The Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Education of Ukraine which are referred to as further with "Parties"

relying on historical roots of friendship between two people,

considering traditional Kyrgyz-Ukrainian ties,

realizing mutual interest in equal cooperation and aiming to support and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of education and sciences,

recognizing priority of universal values in the relations and general education policy,

considering the state education systems and sciences as complete systems which promote full development of citizens of both states, irrespective of ethnic origin, political and religious views and beliefs,

according to the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Ukraine on cooperation in the field of education signed on February 23, 1993, expressing readiness to scientific, organizational methodically and to information cooperation,

agreed about the following:

Article 1.

The parties according to the legislation existing in each state and rules of international law will develop and support cooperation between the relevant organizations and organizations of both states in the field of education on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual respect.

Article 2.

The parties will concentrate the efforts on such directions of cooperation:

- experience exchange in the most important directions of development, management and planning in the field of education, including the highest;

- training of specialists on the basis of exchange of students, graduate students and trainees on specialties which are priority for each of the Parties;

- preparation and advanced training of research and educational personnel;

- carrying out joint scientific research in humanitarian, natural, technical, pedagogical science which is of mutual interest, and especially, as for the historical past of both people;
