Rules of creation of services of search and rescuing and carrying out search and rescue works of aircraft

1. General provisions

1.1. These rules are prepared according to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic "About aircraft" both Standards and Recommended Practice of the Organization of International civil aviation (ICAO) (appendix No. 12 - Search and rescuing - for the Chicago Convention of December 7, 1944).

1.2. These rules establish the main requirements directed to the organization and carrying out search and rescue works on search and rescuing of the domestic and foreign aircrafts which underwent to aviation incident (accident) in the territory of the Azerbaijan Republic, their passengers, crew, equipment of rescue forces and means special accessories and also assistance to victims, their evacuation from the scene.

1.3. These rules extend to all users airspace of the Azerbaijan Republic, central and local executive bodies, the local organizations for rendering services to air traffic, the airports and airfields.
