About international treaties of the Republic of Moldova

Chapter I General provisions

Article 1. Scope

(1) This law is applied to international treaties of the Republic of Moldova and determines procedure for initiation, negotiating, signing, entry into force, application, suspension, denouncement or cancellation of agreements.

(2) Initiation, negotiating, signing, entry into force, application, suspension, denouncement or cancellation of international treaties of the Republic of Moldova are performed according to the principles and rules of international law, the Convention on the right of international treaties (Vienna, 1969), the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, this law, and also provisions of international treaties which party is the Republic of Moldova.

(3) the Public agreements and other agreements which are not regulated by regulations of the international public law are not international treaties.

(4) In case of the conclusion of public agreements, except the agreements regulated by special regulations, the responsible body applies rules and requirements imposed to international treaties according to the special procedure established by the Government. The public agreements having financial effects except the agreements regulated by special laws without fail receive the decision of the Commission of Parliament on foreign policy and the European integration, affirm the Government and are submitted Parliament according to the procedure, established by the Government.
