This law determines the basic principles of advertizing activities in the Republic of Moldova and governs the relations arising in production process, placements and distribution of advertizing.
For the purpose of this law the following basic concepts are used:
advertizing - public information on persons, goods (works, services), the ideas or undertakings (advertisement, the promotional material) designed to cause and maintain interest in them of the uncertain group of people, to promote their realization and increase in prestige of the producer;
advertizing type - method of distribution of advertisement by means of which certain subject of advertizing activities performs controlled impact on the uncertain group of people;
the subject of advertizing activities - the advertiser, the advertisement producer, the advertizing distributor;
the advertiser - person who is source or object of the advertisement intended for production, placement and the subsequent distribution of advertizing;
the advertisement producer - person fully or partially giving to advertisement the form, admissible for its distribution;
the advertizing distributor - person performing placement and distribution of advertizing (advertisement) through any media;
the consumer of advertizing - person who uses or can use advertizing (advertisement);
inadequate advertizing - unfair, doubtful, unethical, sexist, embedded and other similar advertizing;
confutation - actions for the purpose of mitigation of consequences of inadequate advertizing.
