About patronages

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

This law regulates procedure for creation, functioning and termination of activities of patronages in the Republic of Moldova according to the Concept of development of system of social dialogue.

Chapter I General provisions

Article 1. Legal status of patronages

(1) Patronages are the non-profit, non-governmental, independent and non-political organizations created on the basis of voluntary merging and equality of employers from different spheres of activity.

(2) Patronages has the right to create the territorial subdivisions which do not have the status of the legal entity.

Article 2. Legal status of the employer

Employer for the purpose of this law is the legal entity or physical person registered in accordance with the established procedure, managing the capital and using it, irrespective of form of the last, and also hiring labor power for profit earning in the conditions of the competition.

Article 3. Purposes of creation of patronages

Patronages are created for the purpose of support to employers in implementation of the functions by them by provision of services and consultations, protection of the rights and representation of their interests in the relations with bodies of the public power, labor unions, and also any other non-governmental organizations at the national and international levels according to the charters and this law.

Article 4. Principles of creation and activities of patronages

(1) Patronages, irrespective of their form of business, are equal in the rights and are effective according to the charters and this law.

(2) Patronages perform the activities on the basis of the principles of voluntariness and equality of all members.
