This Law establishes the legal basis, procedure for creation and activities of peasant farms, their rights and obligation and is directed to creation of conditions for their equal development with other forms of managing.
The relations connected with creation and activities of peasant farms are regulated by this Law, Civil and Land codes of the Kyrgyz Republic and other regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
1. Peasant farm (further - peasant economy) - the independent business entity having the status of the legal entity or performing the activities without formation of legal entity which activities are based mainly on personal labor of members of one family, the relatives and other persons jointly conducting production of agricultural products which is based on the parcel of land and other property belonging to members of peasant economy on the property right or received in use (lease).
2. The spouses, children, parents, relatives and other persons jointly conducting economy are considered as members of peasant economy. The citizens working in peasant economy on hiring whose employment relationships with peasant economy are governed by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on work are not part of peasant economy. The peasant economy can consist of one person.
3. The name of peasant economy shall contain words "peasant farm".
1. The peasant economy is created on strictly voluntary beginnings. Members of peasant economy have the right of free secession of peasant economy according to the procedure, provided by the charter or the agreement.
2. Each citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic with observance of requirements of article 1 of this Law has the right to create peasant economy.
