About protection of plants and quarantine of plants

This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis of protection of plants and quarantine of plants in the Republic of Armenia, regulates relations between state bodies and legal entities and physical persons in the fields of protection of plants and quarantine of plants.
The purposes of this Law are:
a) implementation of state policy in the fields of protection of plants and quarantine of plants;
b) regulation of the relations in the fields of registration, examination, production, sale, export, import, storage and use of remedies of plants;
c) the prevention of entering on the territory of the Republic of Armenia and distribution on it quarantine harmful organisms, and also identification and destruction of the centers of their infection;
d) contribution to receipt of high productivity and healthy harvest of crops;
e) safety of health of the population;
e) contribution to environmental protection.
This Law regulates the legal relationship arising between the authorized Government of the Republic of Armenia body (further authorized body) and the legal entities and physical persons operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia in the fields of protection of plants and quarantine of plants.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
plants crops and other live plants, their parts, including seeds, germs, etc.;
vegetable products not processed and processed products of plant origin which by the nature can create risk of rooting or distribution of harmful organisms;
harmful organism any kind pathogenic for plants and animal organisms which is harmful to plants or vegetable products;
