This Law determines legal, organizational, economic and social basis of vocational training in the Republic of Belarus and is directed to creation of necessary conditions for satisfaction of requests of the personality in vocational training, requirements of society and state for qualified personnel.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The main terms used in this Law and their determinations

1. In this Law the following main terms are used:

1.1. vocational training - the training process and education for the benefit of the person, society, the state directed to general and professional formation and development of the personality, which is coming to the end with confirmation of achievement by the citizen (studying) education levels established by the state and qualifications of working (employees);

1.2. training of working (employees) - training in system of vocational training, continuous professional training for the purpose of assignment of qualification of working (employee). Employees in this Law are understood as category of employees whose professional training level does not require secondary vocational or higher education;

1.3. technical training college - the organization of education performing training and education at the level of vocational training on one or several educational specialties (professions) and also other types of educational activities according to the charter;
