confirming mutual nonuse of force or threats of force, refusal of receipt of unilateral military superiority;

being guided by the Agreement between the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Government of People's Republic of China on the guidelines of mutual reducing armed forces and enforcement of trust in military area around the Soviet-Chinese border of April 24, 1990;

according to the results achieved by the Parties at negotiations on mutual reducing armed forces and enforcement of trust in military area around border;

aiming at enforcement of trust and increase in level of transparency in military area,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The armed forces of the Parties deployed in the region of border as component of armed forces of the Parties, will not be used for attack on other Party to conduct any military activities menacing to other Party and breaking tranquility and stability around border.

Article 2

1. For the purpose of development of the relations of neighborliness and friendship, preserving around border of situation of long-term stability, strengthening of mutual trust in military area around border of the Party undertake the following measures:

1.1 - communicate about the approved components of armed forces and border troops (boundary parts);
