The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Estonia, the High contracting parties which further are referred to as,
- relying on the existing bonds, friendship and traditions of mutual respect between their people,
- in view of decisions on further expansion and strengthening of the existing bonds of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation,
- confirming the commitment to rules of international law, the purposes and the principles of Articles of organization of the United Nations and to documents of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe,
- considering that further development of the relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between them are equitable to interests of the people of both states,
wishing to develop the bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural, scientific areas, for the purpose of deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation and trust between them,
agreed about the following:
High contracting parties build the relations as the friendly states, consistently being guided by the principles of mutual respect of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity, equality and non-interference to internal affairs, peaceful settlement of disputes and nonuse of force or threat of force, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and also other universally recognized norms of international law.
High contracting parties interact for the purpose of strengthening of the world, stability and safety both in regional, and in global measurements.
High contracting parties will not participate in any unions or blocks directed against any of them.
High contracting parties are recognized and respect territorial integrity and frontiers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Estonia.
