The governments of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

based on provisions of the Convention on legal assistance and legal relations on civil, family and criminal cases of January 22, 1993,

being guided by the Program of joint efforts for fight against the organized crime and other dangerous types of crimes in the territory of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States approved by the Decision of Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States of March 12, 1993

expressing deep concern in expansion of extents of crime in the field of economy,

proceeding from the aspiration to develop cooperation between the departments which are engaged in fight against crime in the field of economy in case of strict respect of the state sovereignty and principle of non-interference to internal affairs of the states,

understanding need of coordination of efforts of the Parties and acceptance of effective measures of counteraction of crime in the field of economy,

agreed as follows:

Article 1.

For the purpose of development of the approved strategy and strengthening of interaction of law enforcement and regulatory authorities in fight against crimes in the field of economy, first of all in bank and credit and financial systems, in the field of foreign economic activity and laundering (legalization) of income gained in the criminal way, the Parties will perform cooperation on the basis of provisions of this agreement about compliance with law and the international obligations of each state.
