Agreement on the trade and economic relations between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and Government of the Republic of Estonia

The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Estonia, the hereinafter referred to as Parties,

wishing to make contribution to development of trade and further strengthening of the economic relations between two states on the basis of equality and mutual advantage,

confirming importance of the measures directed to creation of stable basis for successful cooperation increase between two states

proceeding from need of creation of advantageous conditions for development of cooperation in trade and economy between the Belarusian and Estonian legal entities and physical persons,

aiming to develop trade relations according to the basic principles of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT 1994) and Agreements on organization of the World Trade Organization (WTO),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

For the purpose of providing mutually advantageous conditions for development of the trade and economic relations between two states of the Party will provide each other most favored nation treatment in mutual trade in the goods and services happening from the territory of their states in the relation:

the customs duties and charges of any kind levied in connection with export or import including methods of collection and determination of such duties and charges;

the methods concerning implementation of payments and money transfer;

the rules and formalities connected with import and commodity export and services including the rules and formalities connected with customs clearance, en route, storage and reloading of goods;

taxes and other internal duties of any sort applied directly or indirectly concerning the imported goods and services;

the laws, rules and requirements concerning internal sale, offers on sale, purchase, transportation, distribution and use of the imported goods and services in the domestic market.

Article 2

Provisions of Article 1 of this agreement do not extend to benefits:

provided by the Parties to neighboring countries for the purpose of simplification of border trade;
