About modification of the Law of Ukraine "About fauna" rather scientific research in the field of protection of fauna

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. The law of Ukraine "About fauna" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2002, N 14, Art. 97; 2009, N 30, Art. 428; 2010, N 10, 108) to add the Art. with Article 37-1 of the following content:

"Article 37-1. Scientific research in the field of protection of fauna

For the purpose of ensuring scientific support of actions for protection, reconstruction and rational use of objects of fauna, non-admission of deterioration in condition of the circle of existence of wild animals, the organization of scientific research is performed in such directions:

creation of lists of the animal species which are under the threat of disappearance, or animal species with especially high risk of disappearance taking into account their geographical distribution;

creation of lists and ecological descriptions of the territories having special value for animal species on the way of their migration, and also places of wintering and reproduction;

creation of the database concerning the number of populations of the migrating animal species by method of their branding;

assessment of condition of populations of the wild animals withdrawn from the environment;

development or enhancement of ecological methods of prevention of harm which are caused by wild animals;

determination of role of some types of wild animals as pollution indicators;

studying of negative impact of chemical pollution on condition of populations of wild animals;

other directions of scientific research which are performed for the purpose of reasons for actions for protection of fauna".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
