The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties

in view of the aspiration to support and develop traditional ties in the field of health care,

considering interest of the Parties in mutually beneficial and equal cooperation on long-term and stable basis,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties develop full cooperation in the solution of priority tasks of national programs in the field of protection and strengthening of health of the population.

Article 2

The parties promote expansion of direct connections between the state organizations (organizations) of health care, and also the governing bodies of health care (which are hereinafter referred to as in the text "the cooperating organizations").

Article 3

The parties develop cooperation in the following fields of health care and medical science:

rendering primary and specialized medical care, including in stationary conditions, to the adult and children's population;

implementation of the state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance;

fight against socially important diseases. Promotion of healthy lifestyle, medical prevention;

drug circulation and medical products, including their production;

sanatorium treatment and medical rehabilitation;

joint carrying out research and development;

strengthening of information base, including information support of activities of health care;

medical insurance of the population;

development of priorities in reforming of health care systems;

medical statistics;

prevention and liquidation of medical and sanitary effects of emergency situations;

exchange of operational information.
