About modification of article 143 of the Family code of Ukraine concerning obligation of the father to take away the child from maternity hospital

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Part the second article 143 of the Family code of Ukraine (2002, N 21-22, Art. 135) to add sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the paragraph the second the following content:

"The father who is not married to mother of the child whose paternity is determined in the certificate of birth of the child or acknowledged by a court decision shall according to service for children which is performed according to the procedure, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, to take away the child for content and education from maternity hospital or from other institution of health care if it did not make the child's mother. If the father is not married, he acquires the status of the lonely father".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective in ten days from the date of its publication.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in three-months time from the date of entry into force of this Law to determine procedure for the notice of the father who is not married to the child's mother about obligation to take away the child from maternity hospital or from other institution of health care.
