Article 1

Statkomitet SNG and Consortium will be found by possibilities of development and enhancement of their cooperation in the following areas:

- enhancement of methods of use of statistical data in decision making process;

- enhancement of methodological fundamentals of statistics;

- enhancement of methods of collection and processing of statistical information;

- enhancement of methods of distribution of statistical information and promotion of development of statistics;

- enhancement of methods of management of statistical systems.

Article 2

The forms of cooperation provided by this Memorandum can include:

- holding joint seminars with participation of national statistical services of member countries of the CIS or their representatives;

- exchange of methodological documents and statistical publications;

- experience exchange in the field of the practical questions connected with development of statistics;
