About modification and amendments in the Law on highways No. 509-XIII of June 22, 1995

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on highways No. 509-XIII of June 22, 1995 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1995, No. 62-63, of the Art. 690), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes and additions:

1. Part (2) Article 1 after words "moving in two levels", to add with the word "tunnels".

2. 2, of 3, 4 and 5 to state Articles in the following edition:

"Article 2. Classification of highways

(1) According to the destination highways are subdivided on:

a) public roads - the roads intended for traffic and pedestrians for the purpose of requirements satisfaction in motor transportations of national economy, the population and defense of the country. These roads are public property;

b) privately owned roads - the roads intended for traffic and pedestrians for the purpose of satisfaction of private needs for process economic, forest, oil, mountain, agricultural, energy, industrial and other similar types of activity; access roads to buildings and on-site roads; access roads to building sites. These roads are administered by physical persons or legal entities, or in management of which they are in property.

(2) By the form property highways are subdivided on:

a) the highways which are in public property of the state;

b) the highways which are in public property of administrativnoterritorialny units;

c) private highways.

(3) On functional signs highways public are subdivided on:

1) the European highways - the international highways passing on the territories of the Republic of Moldova according to the European agreement on the international highways (SMA) which the Republic of Moldova joined able to match with highways, high-speed highways and republican highways.

2) national highways - the highways which are in public property of the state and providing the main international road backgrounds, communication of the capital of the country with the cities residences, municipiums, objects of republican value and communication between those which are subdivided on:
