About elderly citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic

This Law determines the state policy concerning elderly citizens directed to creation to them the worthy conditions allowing to lead full-fledged life, to participate in economic and political life of society, and also to carry out the civil obligations according to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the conventional principles and rules of international law, and also the international treaties which became effective according to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
gerontological service - the organization which main activity is the solution of medical, psychological, legal and social problems for improvement of the situation of citizens of the senior generation, consolidation of their social security taking into account modern sotsialnodemografichesky and social and economic situation based on single state policy and single scientific and methodical base;
elderly citizens - persons, than the man at the age of 63 years are also more senior, women at the age of 58 years also are more senior, reached retirement age according to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on the national pension social insurance;
social services for elderly citizens - the organizations irrespective of patterns of ownership, and also the citizens who are engaged in business activity on social servicing of elderly citizens without formation of legal entity.
The legislation on elderly citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic is based on the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, this Law and other regulatory legal acts, and also on the international treaties which came in the procedure established by the law into force.
