understanding importance of preserving information space and interaction in humanitarian and cultural spheres,

in view of provisions of the Agreement on legal succession concerning the Public Records Offices of the former USSR of July 6, 1992,

proceeding from aspiration to expansion and deepening of cooperation in archiving, and also from need of creation of the mechanism of realization of cooperation of the State Parties of this agreement in the field of use of archive information,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties consider exchange of archive information as the major form of cooperation. The parties in every possible way promote broad exchange of archive information according to their national legal system.

Article 2

The parties taking into account historically developed bonds, business contacts, the accumulated experience of cooperation develop interaction in the archive sphere on the basis of equality, collective discussion and the solution of the arising problems with development of the mechanism of their realization.

Article 3

The parties provide to legal entities and physical persons of the State Parties of this agreement access to the archive information which is stored in their Public Records Offices according to the procedure established by their national legal system.
