About the natural and permitted monopolies in the Kyrgyz Republic

This Law determines the legal basis of state policy concerning the natural and permitted monopolies in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of this Law is ensuring balance of consumer interests (subscribers) and subjects of the natural and permitted monopolies by means of the state regulation and control of activities of subjects of the natural and permitted monopolies providing availability of the goods realized by them, services for consumers (subscribers), and also effective functioning of subjects of the natural and permitted monopolies.
This Law extends to the relations arising in the goods markets of the Kyrgyz Republic in which subjects of the natural and permitted monopolies, consumers (subscribers), executive bodies and local self-government in case of execution of management functions in these goods markets participate.
For the purposes of this Law the following concepts are applied:
antimonopoly authorities (antimonopoly authority) are the state bodies pursuing state policy on development of the goods markets and the competition, to restriction of monopolistic activities and suppression of unfair competition.
In industries of power and communication by antimonopoly authorities the state bodies regulating activities in these industries that is the State agency on power under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic are and the State communication agency under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic respectively;
