The governments of the State Parties of this agreement which further are referred to as with the Parties

based on the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992,

considering the metrological base which developed in the territories of the State Parties of the Agreement and specialization of the companies for production, checking, calibration, checking and metrological certification of measuring instruments and standard samples,

understanding need of observance of the approved methodology of ensuring unity of measurements and technology of preparation and exchange of scientific and technical information on standards, standard samples, measuring instruments of the approved types and the existing regulating documents, and also accomplishment of the corresponding international obligations within the International Organization of Legislative Metrology (IOLM) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO),

agreed as follows:

Article 1

Subject of this agreement are the regulating documents applied in system of standardization, metrology and certification, standards, measuring instruments and standard samples, hereinafter referred to as "goods".

Article 2

The goods taken for the purpose of checking, calibration, checking and metrological certification are exempted from payment of customs duties, taxes and issue of special permissions.

Article 3

Lists (nomenclature) of the goods which are subject to transportation are established by national authorities on standardization, metrology and certification.
