About labor unions

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Subject of regulation of this Law

Subject of regulation of this Law are the public relations arising in connection with realization by citizens of constitutional right on consolidation, creation, activities, reorganization and (or) liquidation of labor unions, their associations (associations), primary trade-union organizations (daleeprofsoyuza).

Article 2. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:

- labor union - the voluntary public organization combining the citizens connected by common interests in production and non-productive fields of activity for protection labor it is social - economic and other rights and interests of the members;

- primary trade-union organization - the voluntary consolidation which is acting on the basis of the relevant charter or provision of labor union, the members of labor union working at one company in one organization, one organization, societies or students in one educational institution (further - the companies), irrespective of form of business;

- the member of labor union - the person which reached 15-year age, who is voluntarily joining trade union, recognizing its charter (provision) staying on the registry in primary trade-union organization and paying the membership fees;

- the membership fees - voluntary payment of the money of the member of labor union in the trade-union organization used for accomplishment of authorized tasks;
