About assessment of conformity
This Law governs the legal and organizational relations in the field of assessment of conformity of objects to requirements of technical regulations and documents in the field of standardization and provides single system of state policy on implementation of assessment of conformity.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
- assessment of conformity - activities for determination of compliance of objects of assessment of conformity to requirements of technical regulations and documents in the field of standardization which includes testing, control, certification and accreditation;
- accreditation - procedure of official recognition by state body for accreditation of competence of legal entities of work for testing and certification;
- The state accreditation system of the Republic of Tajikistan (further - the Accreditation system) - set of subjects of assessment of conformity, the regulatory legal acts, technical regulations and documents in the field of standardization determining rules and procedures of accreditation and functioning of system in general;
- mark of conformity of the State accreditation system of the Republic of Tajikistan (further - the Accreditation system sign) - sign which in accordance with the established procedure demonstrates holding all necessary procedures of accreditation and about compliance of accredited body on certification or accredited test laboratory (center) to requirements of technical regulations and documents in the field of standardization;
- accredited body on certification - the state body and the organization accredited for performance of works on certification in certain area;
- accredited test laboratory (center) the organization accredited for carrying out testing of products in certain area;
- area of accreditation - field of activity in which the accredited body on certification or accredited test laboratory (center) is granted the right to performance of works on certifications or carrying out testing of products;
