The government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Estonia which further are referred to as with Contracting Parties

attaching importance to international cooperation in fight against crime, including with organized crime and terrorism, and wishing to render for this purpose each other broader professional help and to deepen cooperation in this area,

considering conventions and resolutions of the United Nations, and also the documents of other international organizations concerning fight against crime

wishing to increase efficiency of cooperation in the field of exchange of data on crime, and also about fields of activity of law enforcement agencies of both states,

according to the national legal system,

agreed with following:

Article 1 General provisions

For the purposes of this agreement the following terms mean:

1. "Search of person" - establishment of the location of persons disappearing from criminal prosecution or execution of sentence, the missing persons and other persons put on the wanted list in cases, the stipulated by the legislation states of Contracting Parties.

2. "Identification of person" - identification of persons disappearing from criminal prosecution or execution of sentence, the missing persons and other persons put on the wanted list on the basis of identification of traces of the person or identification according to the photo and on other signs.

3. "Search" - the legal proceeding made for survey of the room, the area or person for the purpose of search and withdrawal of the crime instruments, objects and values extracted in the criminal way and also other objects or documents able to matter for criminal case, and also detection of the searched persons and corpses.

4. "Dredging" - the legal proceeding made for withdrawal of the certain objects and documents important for criminal case if it is known where and at whom they are.
