The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
being sure that the cooperation in the fields of education and sciences will promote development of relations between the people of both states and to strengthening of mutual understanding and friendship between the people,
agreed about the following:
The parties develop and support cooperation between the relevant educational institutions and scientific institutions of two countries in the fields of education and sciences on the principles of mutual respect and neighborliness.
The parties communicate about legal and other regulatory legal acts in the field of education, experience and information on development and planning of general secondary, professional, secondary vocational, higher education and scientific research in the Republic of Belarus and general secondary, professional, higher education and to development of scientific research in the Republic of Latvia.
The parties promote development of direct contacts between organizations of management of education, educational institutions, certain scientists and specialists.
The parties encourage accomplishment of joint research projects and exchange of scientific information, necessary for this purpose, the equipment, and also holding joint scientific conferences, seminars, exhibitions and the invitation of scientists and specialists on scientific conferences which are held in the territory of the state of one of the Parties.
The parties encourage exchange of students of higher educational institutions, scientific and pedagogical workers.
