The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus and the State committee of Ukraine concerning technical regulation and consumer policy which are hereinafter referred to as "Party"

aiming to strengthen and develop cooperation in the field of consumer protection,

understanding importance of interaction of state bodies in ensuring consumer protection,

being guided by the principles of equality, mutual understanding and mutual advantage,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

This agreement is intended for providing and development of cooperation of the Parties concerning consumer protection, saturations of the consumer market with goods (works, services) which can satisfy requests and needs of consumers, assistance to development of social movement of consumers.

Article 2

1. The parties perform cooperation in the following directions:

exchange of scientific and other information on consumer protection, including information on the legislation and its forming and practical activities of the Parties in the field of consumer protection;

mutual informing on identification cases in the consumer markets of the states of the Parties of goods (works, services) which pose threat of life, to health, property of consumers, and also the environment;

carrying out economic, legal, medicobiological, merchandising, social, scientific and technical, informatsionnotekhnologichesky researches of problems in the field of consumer protection;

holding the international scientific and practical conferences and seminars on problematic issues in the field of consumer protection;

exchange of information about the solution of problematic issues in the field of consumer protection;

experience exchange on creation and functioning of information systems on protection of the consumer market against low-quality and counterfeited goods (works, services);
