considering the developed family, economic and other relations of the border population,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The terms applied in this agreement have the following value:

"the border territories" - the territories of rural and settlement Councils of deputies of the Republic of Belarus and the volosts of the Republic of Latvia adjacent to the Belarusian-Latvian border;

"border settlements" - located in the border territories of the farm, village, village, settlements and (or) other places of permanent residence of people;

"the border population" - citizens of the Republic of Belarus and Latvia, and also stateless persons, including the persons having the status not of the citizen of Latvia, constantly living in border settlements at least six months;
